Cataract surgery is a procedure to remove the lens of your eye and, in most cases, replace it with an artificial lens. Cataract surgery is used to treat the clouding of the normal clear lens of your eye (cataract).

Glaucoma

A group of eye conditions that can cause blindness. With all types of glaucoma, the nerve connecting the eye to the brain is damaged, usually due to high eye pressure. The most common type of glaucoma (open-angle glaucoma) often has no symptoms other than slow vision loss.

Conjuctivis Eye Pink

Conjunctivitis, also known as pinkeye, is an inflammation of the conjunctiva. The conjunctiva is the thin clear tissue that lies over the white part of the eye and lines the inside of the eyelid

Squint

A squint is a condition where the eyes do not look together in the same direction. Whilst one eye looks straight ahead, the other eye turns to point inwards, outwards, upwards or downwards.

Corneal Abrasion

Once you’ve had a corneal abrasion, you’re not likely to forget the unrelenting pain and discomfort it can cause. Symptoms of a corneal abrasion do not always happen immediately. As a result, it’s often hard to know what caused it.

Retina Surgery

Vitrectomy is a surgical procedure undertaken by a specialist where the vitreous humor gel that fills the eye cavity is removed to provide better access to the retina. This allows for a variety of repairs, including the removal of scar tissue, laser repair of retinal detachments and treatment of macular holes.

Dry Eye

Dry eye syndrome is caused by a chronic lack of tears which results in in-sufficient lubrication and moisture on the surface of the eye. Tears are a combination of water for moisture; oils for lubrication; mucus for even spreading; and antibodies and special proteins, for resistance to infection.

Diabetic Eye Disease

Diabetic retinopathy is the most common diabetic eye disease and a leading cause of blindness in adults. It is caused by change in the blood vessels of the retina which lead to leakage.

Patient testimonials

It’s always the word of mouth that’s the best advice. Here are some of our…

Constant squinting, struggling to see things afar, almost entering the TV screen!
Those were the symptoms and when it became worrisome we visited the opticians. 3 different ones to be precise and all had the same conclusions,
he had to get pair of glasses. But none ws as convincing as Choice Optical, very detailed and every step was explained. Dr. Banke is very good with children nd with the reasons given we finally got him a pair. Now, he sees better both in class and wherever he finds himself.
thanks to choice optical.
